Interesting.

I\'m abit sad that the game looks similiar to Ocarina of Time, however. Ocarina is a great game, but I find it disappointing that it shares many similarities with it, like it looks like the same Link. After WindWaker, the Zelda series could honestly be taken anywhere, and it\'d be interesting to see what new sort of world Nintendo could come up with.

Oh well. Nonetheless this is interesting.

this is looking like it will shape up to be a very very good game...although I liked the way Wind Waker looked it seemed like they could do more with links expressions but anyway I think I will get this one as soon as it comes out because it just looks great !

YOU MEAN IT ISN\'T?!?

...Seriously, though, It looks interesting. Like Necro said, the game could be taken just about anywhere after Wind Waker. I\'d personally like to see more of the post-apocalyptic world that was displayed in OoT...I personally think it\'d be interesting to see where they\'d take the game if they used that storyline over, but right off.

...Then again, this is coming from the person who thinks that the first Zelda game was the first coming of Christ...

Reality swirled in a wholly blue manner, revealing absolutely nothing of merit. Things flashed madly in and out of existence like some entirely other sort of phenomena. On a whim, Kurt Vonnegut imploded, taking a sizeable hunk of Massachusetts with him. However, seeing as Massachusetts wasn't entirely sure it existed, the chunk wasn't all that big.

Hehehe...yeah, the first Zelda was awsome. I\'m really thinking about getting the new game for the GBA, just so I can take it with me, even though mine still works for my NES.

Good times, good times.

I\'m glad that this game does not look like Windwalker. I\'m so glad about it that I will buy the game when it comes out in 2005-2006 even though I don\'t have the system to play it yet. ;^^

The preview I saw on TV looked so beautiful that I was actually crying. ...or it could have been my TV was too bright for my eyes BUT, nevertheless, I am looking forward to it\'s release. ... Me as a Sony fan, that is kinda scary. ;^^

I sure hope this game has a debug menu... Yummy! ^_^

MMM...debug.
Yes, this game does look awsome...Link looks better in this baby than even the model in Soul Caliber! And is that a horse I saw him riding...I think it was.:D

I wonder where it fits in storyline wise though??

I couldn\'t see the movie before, stupid codec, but now..............WHOA. It does look like Ocarina of Time, but the rendering is quite a bit better. And, Sword on Horseback......YES.

Quite frankly, yes I am. Cel-Shading has grown on me and showed me the infinite possibilities it holds. XIII, for example, was an awesome cel-shaded game that was full of enemy interaction, not to mention being able to pick up pieces of glass to throw at enemies. Don\'t even get me started on Viewtiful Joe.

Nintendo had a really original idea, and they threw it away in order to get really pretty graphics. I do have to say this: GRAPHICS AIN\"T EVERYTHING!

Great gameplay is the thing that matters most to me. The game could look like a piece of shit but play beautifully, and vice-versa. If you don\'t believe me, then look at Goldeneye: now it looks like shit, but does that change anything? HELL NO! That being said, look at Minority Report on the Gamecube. Pretty game...BUT IT SUCKS ALL ASS!

My final word is this: I prefer the design of WW Link to OoT Link, yes I do. I\'m not denying that they\'re both great games, I just prefer the look on WW; there\'s more expression, great looking backgrounds, and it\'s a game that definitely has replay value. It\'s that good.

Awesome.. Phatman is among the ranks of people that I agree with about WindWaker graphics versus Ocarina\'s.

I really don\'t understand why Ocarina fans who don\'t care for Windwaker\'s style usually have an attitude towards those that do like it, asking questions in the line of whether the person is serious or not when they said so.

Myself, I loved Windwaker\'s graphics. I\'m not the hugest fan of celshading, but Windwaker pulled them of beautifully. And the game had style. Simply put, the game just has style. It wasn\'t trying to be like everything else or what people wanted it to be. WindWaker had it\'s own vision and I applaud it for that.

Ocarina of Time had a good style going on too, but I feel people have wrongfully labeled it the standard as to what Zelda games should look like and be. I really hate the attitude that some gamers have that every new Zelda game should be just like Ocarina. It\'s a good game, but it\'s not what every Zelda game should be.

Honestly, I would have preferred had Nintendo done something with Zelda we haven\'t seen before. Windwaker seemed shocking at first, and still is to some. That\'s what\'s great about it though. It\'s not just brick in the wall. I\'d rather see a new Zelda try not to live off Windwaker though, I\'d rather see it create it\'s own legend.

*shrug*

How does Nintendo compromise then? Make a \"cel-shaded\" and \"non-cel-shaded\" version of each game?

That\'s all there is to say, really. Instead of being Generic Pseudo-Realistic Game X, Wind Waker had it\'s whole feel created by the look, as if you were playing a cartoon.

I don\'t think that would be very profitable. Most people would buy only one of the two versions, and creating a completely different set of graphics for the same game would take a while. The game engine itself isn\'t too much of a limitation, though: according to a Nintendo representative, the new Zelda game runs on a modified version of the Wind Waker\'s graphics engine.

Like Doc said, releasing two versions of both games wouldn\'t work out too well, and it\'d be a rather unneccessary step. Nintendo shouldn\'t be creating two versions of each game just to please fans who prefer different visual styles. No, what Nintendo should do is just make each Zelda game have a style that works for the game itself, one that isn\'t trying to be the others. If the game calls for a more realistic style, then so be it if that\'s what would work best. But that doesn\'t mean the games should look just like Ocarina Jr. just to please fans. Fans should be able to enjoy a game regardless of graphics because games are all about gameplay, which, I\'d like to add, few Zelda games have failed on.

Yeah, like Zelda 2... *cough* I\'m sure people still liked that game though, but ARGH it\'s annoying. Damn Octoroks.

As for Windwaker, I thought it was a great game..it was really fun, just the sailing seas part was so darned tedious... @.@ It didn\'t help either, that I didn\'t know you could warp around at almost any time you wanted in the boat.. I kept landing on an island, then warping.

But, from what the sibling said, Windwaker controls alot better than Ocarina..he said Navi doesn\'t work nearly as well as the lock on system.

Anyways..the graphics. I do admit I was wary of them, because the screenshots of Windwaker do look pretty bad... But playing the game is a whole different story. It really does look awesome when you play it. It\'s too bad it\'s so darn short. And there weren\'t tough puzzles like in Past..at least I thought the puzzles were tough..

Wizzrobe\'s drive me crazy in this game though.. Grrrrr. But it\'s gotta get extra points for having Waluigi dressed up in a Rito costume.

i think that style of graphic chosen for the new zelda game gives it more of a serious realistic effect. the wind waker was more laid back to me. sail here, collect that. if was alot of fun, but on a different level. More comedic and light hearted.

Think about it. if resident evil were a cel-shaded game, would it still be scary?

I get the feeling that this Zelda with be more epic in a sense that it apocolyptic(did i just make a word up?) and dooms day. You know like, \"Go beat a temple so everybody doesnt slowly burn and melt to death by the constant flow of lava coming outta the temples gardian before we all die.\" and not the normal \"go beat the temple.\" ...........At least i hope it is more of the doom\'s day dread feel like they gave in ocarina of time as Dover said.
