No, Z2. X\'s body is destroyed. You didn\'t even play that game did you?

X is just not in his body. That\'s all.

um... isnt his body, and his soul two completly different things? his body was destroyed yes, but his soul was adrift to begin with. meaning the X from the \"Megaman X\" series was already dead. im guessing that the \"evil\" personallity of the body was done because of the accident with ciel while trying to reserect X.

NO.

Look, X quit fighting because he was tired of it.

Ciel created a completely different X, Copy X.

Copy X was destroyed in Z1.

While Copy X was alive, X used his own body to seal the dark elf. Zero kills Copy X in Z1, and Elipzo destroys the original body in Z2.

Actually, when in the game they say that some one is going to \"retire\", it means die.

They usually do use that phrase in that context, but that doesn\'t mean it\'s the only usable context.

that is true, X in X7 decided to retire from being a maverick hunter, but decided to come back out of it after Axl came along.

Proto: Based on your replies about Axl, I now know how much he is disliked here. My opinion about him is that capcom messed him up in X7, but now he has various weapons, an adittude, and is a little bit of humor for the series. He is now unique in his own ways and deserves a little more respect. At least Zero has a competitor when he needs to shoot his mouth off. Who knows, maybe his fate will be revealled due to the fact he was never mentioned in the zero series.

The darkness is in all of us, including the light. We deny it, hate it, spite it. If we accept it, then it will become part of the light. The light is everywhere, for it is what makes everything come to life. The only one who saw this light was X, for he weild this light before he gave it to me. Let the elements become one so we can all see the one true light. ~ Michael from my future fanfic.

No. X and Zero should both go solo, and make Axl head of the Repliforce or something. That'll keep him busy, and the Repliforce friends with them.

The only thing I can think of them retireing is if Sigma dose and that means theres not really a big thret any more unless that little shard in Axle's head at the end of X8 makes him evil.

Grammar.. PLEASE... PLEASE... and it's "Axl". There's no "e" on the end.

ANYway... It'd be nice if they got to retire at some point, and actually enjoy their lives.

well there are 2 ways retiring in a world like in the X- series

stop working and enjoy your old day

or die, be destroyed.

the first one, i donīt really worry about, the second one a bit more, but Zero has been rebuild a dozen times, so one more time wouldnīt be so much of a problem.

If they return to 2-D graphics and give X and Zero some kind of new/fun upgrade maybe, but Axl might be cool in 2-D if he uses different and useful attacks.I'll start playing them again if this happens.

Spoiler (click to toggle)
X retires, comes back after learning the fates of 64 of his comrades (X7), kills Sigma, retires again to protect the Mother - now "Dark" - elf, gets his body killed by Elpizo, then leaves Earth and dies himself after Omega kicks the bucket. Zero then goes, kills Weil, then dies with Ragnarok.

Then Vent and Aile take over Irregular-Hunting.

Then what? Those booklets seem interesting.

Did they go into the "great beyond" then?

I didn't play any of the Zero games. I was all disappointed when I heard that

Spoiler (click to toggle)
X wasn't really the villain. But I will always believe that X was really evil. The good and bad sides of his personality split and the good side was floating around wanting to help you. The bad side is the villain-at least in my imaginary fanfic world. That would've been a better story.

Anyway, if X retires (which he did) then he would spend all his time moping around and complaining about the world's problems without really doing anything to solve them. I understand if he doesn't think killing is always the answer but he should do SOMETHING! That's how I feel about X.

I think Zero would probably go back to killing for sport, like when Sigma first met him. Zero can't get the drive to kill out of his system so he's gonna do it whether he's a hunter or not.

(I actually don't hate the MMX series by the way)

I seriously don't see the whole "X is evil" thing. Nor do I see the whole "Maverick Hunter Corruption".

Actually, I like Androcles' take on the whole thing. I've never really thought of the Hunters as "evil" before, since well, you're usually given the role of "good guy" in videogames, and they're fighting to "destroy the Mavericks". Mavericks/Irregulars denoting that they're "the bad guys".

No, I don't personally believe X is "evil", or the Hunters are corrupt. But I do like that idea. Just something to think about.

If anything, Zero's the evil corrupt one. I certainly wouldn't have him on MY goodguy team.

Thanks. I don't think X is really evil, but I think he's torn about which direction he should go in. Violence or non violence, humans or reploids; that kind of thing. I know he wants everyone to live peacefully together but I think he sees problems with both sides in the conflict.

Humans can be tyranical in trying to control reploids who have free will. What kind of rights should reploids have? On the other hand, reploids probably do need to be tracked more agressively because they have greater power. If reploids have intelligence, and they even have DNA then what is superior about humans? Do humans have the right to control or command reploids just because they made them? Are humans destined to fail at "playing god"? These are the sort of issues that the X series will never go into very deeply. I don't as much about the Zero series though.

And yeah, I think Zero is evil. But he can't help it. It's in his blood or something. LOL! He's just a natural born killer at heart.
