Ok, back to business. I was watching Gundam Seed a couple of Sundays or so ago at 10:30 on Toonami, and something struck me as odd...
I remember a while ago, back when G Gundam was on, I saw an interesting part of an episode with the Chinese gundam fighter, and it didn\'t make sense to me. I\'ve found out, no duh, that many shows on Toonami have been censored.
Now, back to Seed. I was watching Gundam Seed and I saw something strange.

Probably. They keep pulling off good shows, and adding new ones, thus we can\'t watch the others, because they are not on a channel. I don\'t really watch Toonami anymore, \'cuz my brother watches it, and If I come in to watch, he gets pissed and has a big temper tantrum. Try to avoid that!

Yeah, I think that they realize that \'lil kids sit on their fat @$$\'s and watch cartoon network all day. Don\'t want them to see Toonami. Heh, no matter. As long as we are old enough to stay up later, we have nothing to fear!

They might have moved it in order to show less censored stuff, but what they probably didn\'t consider is the fact that with no Toonami on the weekdays, and only that pathetic Miguzi substitute, the Toonami fans, no matter what the age, will be waiting all week for the measly four hours (as compared to ten hours a week before) to see their favorite anime, and thus defeating the purpose of having the move done.

I remember the good ol\' days...

Back when Toonami wasn\'t full of CRAP!

I remember when Toonami actually meant something, back when that weird guy in the gas mask like suit hosted it and not \"Tom\" and \"Sarah\". It was ALL anime, and none of this, \"Powerpuff Girls\" or \"Megas XYZ\" or \"Dexter\'s Labaratory\"...

Uh... I do think they deserve a kick for hosting old Cartoon-Cartoons on it, but Megas \"XYZ\" *coughXLRcough;D* is a pretty decent show.
And the guy with the mask was Moltar from Space Ghost.

I remember that as well...it drove me nuts when they would put all that Powerpuff crap on...I remember when there was only anime on..

You\'re all sorely mistaken about when it was aired with Moltar as the host- they showed more crap then than they do now. Trust me.

And besides, Toonami isn\'t for older kids- they show the stuff at like 4 PM, right? That\'s about the time that younger kids GET OUT OF SCHOOL. Marketing ploys are fun!

Stop griping about Toonami and read a book for a change. Or, rather, go watch a movie that has REAL people in it (Roger Rabbit counts in that selection as well).[/font]

I love Moltar. I thought Moltar was the one that showed Sailor Moon and DBZ all the time? Little whats-his-face..that robot guy, he was the one that started showing different things.. Like Gundam Wing, and those thousands of other Gundams.. And Blue Sub 6, and those DBZ movies, and the original DB..

I occassionally watch Cartoon Network, but it\'s random. I like Ed, Edd, n Eddy. I sometimes see Cowboy Bebop on there too, but..I usually forget.

Unfortunately, Anime Network isn\'t quite easy to get. I don\'t have it. =/

Ugh... Cartoon Network discussion... here goes:

I discovered cartoon network in 4th grade. (god, that was years ago.) I remember that they used to show a lot of crap that i once found slightly humorus. I secretly had a wish that they would show the old MM series, which never happened. When I first started watching, they showed Robotech, the good portion of DBZ, Sailor Moon (the girls in my class had an unhealthy obsession with it) and such. Soon, I realized how crappily these shows were presented. VERY heavily edited. I waited a few years, watching whatever anime was on. Soon, we got cable internet and I discovered the joys of Kazaa. I discovered a wonderful thing called fansubbing. I began to pick up some japanese and realized that all the TV networks were showing anime that was HARDLY like the original thing. Translations were GODAWFUL! I began watching Evangelion, Serial Experiments Lain, Furi Kuri, and Rockman EXE. It turned out the first two were US DVD rips, but it didnt matter. I was hearing them in the original language, with GOOD voice acting, and i was a REBEL. That was almost two years ago. I am still a rebel and refuse to watch any American TV, listen to much (if any) American rock music, or buy US DVDs of anime. (the price you pay supports the act of poor translation and dubbing. I am an anime purist and I ask you all to follow me! Watch only fansubs, ignore American television, and listen to foreign music. The good thing about all this is that you will not be violating copyrights. Japanese music is not released in the US or Europe, therefore no copyrights protect it. Any media i buy now is either techno, or imported from Japan. There are many import shops online, but Ebay is cheaper. And so I end my rant.

Only time I watched Toonami is when they moved YYH to it and they butchered it so bad, it almost wasn\'t worth watching. I mean, come on, you don\'t butcher Yusuke\'s cussing;)

Anime Network? I heard OF it, but it\'s like nowhere around. And if my cable provider did get it, they\'d stick it on digital, which is expesive as hell for like 5 boxes.

BTW, Nayus: Boxtorrents is down. Their host cut them off, so who knows when it\'ll be back

Bah, everyone knows that anime that are based on mangas aren\'t as good as the manga. That\'s why I rarely bother watching it on TV.

Mangas (in french and japanese) are cheaper than their DVD counterparts and you can carry them ANYWHERE without having to buy some portable DVD player. Of course, sometimes it\'s nice to see the anime version, \'cuz it\'s good-looking but that\'s not a good reason for me to actually take 100+ CND out of my bank account to buy some DVD boxset...

Now, mangas based on anime suck (Gundam Wing is a perfect example). That\'s when I\'ll ask my friend to dl subs and burn them on a CD for me. Except for that, I don\'t watch anime, I read mangas.

Screw Toonami , they should just put everything on Adult Swim that way almost nothing gets censored.(But of course, we know that won\'t happen...)
