We like to believe that Willpower is strong enough to bend reality if we want it enough, to an extent at least.
Is it really?

I think willpower is how much effort you\'re willing to put into your actions. I don\'t think that it\'s a physical force nor do I believe it is capable of moving anything or anyone other than yourself.
I\'m rather skeptical of supernatural stuff.
Jack of all trades.
Master of none.
Well... it\'s all relative. Without anything in it, the world would be easy to bend and contort into whatever you want it to be. Also, those without wills of their own are equally easy to convince them of what you tell them. However, will is not a force which should or will be taken lightly, since the wills of the many will often have power over the will of the few. After all, that\'s the basic premise of democracy: majority rules, and those who don\'t like it live with it or find a way to change it. This may also tie into the determination/stubbornness debate of another topic; the will to press on despite the odds might be viewed as determination, while the will to ignore logic and do something that you stand no chance of doing. These boundaries and subjects are all connected in one way or another.
Reeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaly mighty!
Thats it^. Two words to describe it.

Willpower can\'t bend reality... That\'s just silly.
When I think of willpower, I think of dieters using it to try and avoid eating a doughnut.. Or smokers who are trying to quit, using it to try and prevent themselves from buying cigarettes. I don\'t think of any reality bending at all.
I could almost swear you got this idea off the Animatrix movie. The one with the runner, believing he could run as fast as the matrix people could, and in having such willpower he did it, or no? I think I\'m on my own little Gutter tangent here.
By bend reality, I don\'t mean defying gravity or anything.
I mean things like defying death, getting that last bit of strength, things like that.
Yes, people have defied death believe it or not, people who have been near death, managing to keep it from happening in order to accomplish one final task.

So... putting this to application...
*wills the lamers to stop existing just because*
Then again, that\'d take entirely too much willpower and too many lamers to deal with.

Best quotes from IRC:
* DrCossack hits Evan on the head with Zero's thong.
<Kia_Purity> wat <Kia_Purity> "Queen of Interordi" <Kia_Purity> who did that? XD (from april fools '06)
* DragonBlayde thwacks Mega_X with Kia's thongs <Kia_Purity> NOT MY THONGS
Well, maybe if all the competent members here concentrate hard enough..we\'ll make all the lamers lose internet access for a week.
Better than nothing, I sez!
And well, Mega X, I see your point now.. Willpower in a way made me do something impossible. My uncle threw out a dresser, that was my grandma\'s..and it was sitting on the curb for the trash guys to pick up. My mom calls, and tells me to go save the drawer parts at least, she wants the whole thing but there\'s no way I can carry it.. I had only a few minutes to get to my uncles house..and would you know, I was strong enough to carry the whole thing back to my house? My arms are spindly and I can barely lift 8 pounds, yet I was carrying probably a good 80 pound dresser.
There was also the story of that one guy lifting the crashed helicopter, to save another.. I guess that was like willpower as well.
Like I said in the ghost topic yes I do have strong willpower although I cannot bend a spoon completley. I can however move very samll objects
I think extra strength from will is called \'adrenaline\'.
But really, I doubt it has anything to do with it. Although when you\'re watching an anime or reading a manga, it\'s cooler to think that a person\'s will launches an energy attack then that they bought from a corner store or something.
What about staving off death? It\'s been proven to have happened.
it\'s ignoring the fact that your going to die and your still trying to concentrate on something else no matter how much blood you lost
this is called \"invincible will\" your not invincible but your will is
Nightmares are dreams that need re-coding.
I think willpower is the ability for your mind to defy your body.

Will power. Literally means how strong your will is. Will being independant thought. Strength of your mind. I take this to mean, can you keep your own view when a thousand others are convinced you\'re wrong? Do you cave in easily? Are you easily persuaded. Also; can you retain rational thought when all others are in panic? I like to believe that when you\'re about to die, or lose your mind completely, if you are determined enough and focused, you can fight it off and be treated. It may not be easy, but you\'ll live. It\'s a conflict within. You have a great desire to do something that you know you shouldn\'t do and you know that if you do it, you\'ll regret it afterwards. If you do it anyway, then you have a weak will. If you manage to overcome the erge, then you hava stronger will and are more in control over yourself. People with weaker wills make better followers. People with stronger wills make better leaders. Simple as that. That\'s my belief.
I don\'t believe that willpower can have an exact effect on object. Technically, the mind does, if you think that it was a gravitational force. An absolutely tiny one, but it\'s there.

Ha. Will power. Now that\'s something I have. If I want to do something, I wont let anything stand in my way. Ive never been shot or stabbed, but still, my will power is almost unbeatable!
Wow... its been so long since ive been on here... 04.07.2010
I have pretty strong willpower, I think. Or maybe I\'m just stubborn (that\'s what my parents think). A way I use my willpower is to control my temper. It takes a lot to get under my skin, and I mean a lot. Once my friends kept hitting me with pillows while I was staying over for a birthday party. It was really annnoying me and after a long time, I snapped. I flew into a rage. But I managed to hold on to my willpower in part and grabbed a pillow before I started venting on them. I wasn\'t particularly strong at the time (I\'m stronger now, though) and wasn\'t able to do any damage, but they got the point anyways and didn\'t hit me anymore. I didn\'t feel too good about myself later for losing it, but I at least was glad I held on to a strand of my willpower.
