Lessee here.
Bass appeared in MegaMan-7, where, lets face it, the entire plot revolved around him.
He came back in MegaMan-8. Now, I\'m going to assume that there\'s a nice, big time gap between 7 and 8, meaning that if Bass and MegaMan are STILL fighting by the time 8 rolls around, then, surely, they\'ve encountered each other several times after 7 ended. (After all, he IS programmed to hunt down and destroy MegaMan. He\'s not exactly one to take a break, now.)
We see Bass, AGAIN, in the once-japanese-only game, \"RockMan and Forte\", in which Bass is the first in MegaMan history to become an optional player character. (Poor ProtoMan... -_-) This gives more proof that he is, in fact, an important character in the \"Classic\" series.
And even then, let\'s not forget all the spin-offs he\'s appeared in. The Power Battles, Power Fighters, Battle AND Fighters, Battle and Chase... I\'m sure there\'s more.
The point is, you may not consider Bass a classic character, but CAPCOM does. And I think it\'s obvious which one of you has the most important opinion in this matter.
