I use google. Always Google. It helps me find my Ro--er, I mean, my web...pages...*cough*

I\'m a Google person. Google = Actually find the stuff I search for. A lot of places bring up stuff that have nothing to do with what I\'m looking for. Ever tried typing just \"sprite\" in a search engine? Game stuff isn\'t all you get. There\'s some wheather phenomena that always comes up that I have no clue about.

Well, if you\'re gonna figure out which one is best, I suggest you use the scientific method, I did a similar experiment, though it was just on MSN and Google. I searched the exact same text in both engines and rated them on,
1. If it found what I was looking for
2. How soon (that is, how high up on the page it was) I found it.

I only did ten searches, some of which obscure some of which were common. I personally suggest doing 30 searches, because 30 is generally considered to be a large sample size. Google did better, but only marginally. Oh, and I do prefer google, it seems to be the most reliable, regardless of science.

Google, it\'s convenient since it\'s part of Opera. And is the only search I know of that can search with a Japanese IME.

well, ive done research, and suprisingly, the best performing search engine i used was 100.com. the order, highest to lowest:
100.com, alltheweb, altavista, yahoo, google, lycos, msn, and last and definetely least, dogpile

I just don\'t see how Yahoo beat out Google in this situation. Google is by far the best. Yahoo, you type something in, it brings you a 1000 things not needed. Google, however, brings you to a better understanding of what you have typed.

To tell you the truth I do prefer yahoo. the reason is I can type up a search for example: \"Simpsons\" It brings up a huge selection of everything with \"Simpsons\" in it example: It brought up Jessica Simpson, if you click on that link it will give you more options like Jessica Simpsons Dog, or Jessica Simpsons Hair.
(No I dont like Jessica Simpson.)

well, what i did, was search for some random things i thought up (like \"free video games\") that were all free, then I took all the sponsored, unhelpful, and good links on the first page of each engine and put it in a graph. If you wanna dispute my results, please don\'t if it has something to do with money

I use google all the time. MSN sucks. i havent heard of the others...

I like google the most but sometimes it has not the good things you want but msn does

Gee, ya think the people here prefer Google? I like it, myself, but it\'s having some problems, recently. A lot of phishers insert coding into their webpages that ensures that they will be prioritized results whenever you search on Google...
