What the hell? Shadow was okay but now they\'re just ruining my childhood like Jar-Jar. When will these guys ever learn that we don\'t need this crap, we want Sonic!
Who knows though. This might be fun though. We\'ll just have to wait it out.

Meh? For once, I appear to be the only one who\'s not straight away against the idea... Surprising. I\'m waiting until we hear more details about this game. I\'ve seen the trailer already, and it\'s not looking so bad. I would have been afraid if it looked like something completely new, but the classic Sonic gameplay from the last few 3D games still looks to be there, with the addition of the gun of course.
Besides, at least, Sega is ready to try new ideas with the franchise instead of just remaking the same old stuff with minor modifications between every game. Shouldn\'t this please some people?

It is about time that they have a cool hedgehog become the main character. Shadow, in my opinion, is an awesome charater, and his background his hazed, so Sega may be trying to find a way to tie up some of the loose ends that are dangling. But hey, who doesn\'t like a hedgehog that has an attitude problem? XDD
I always thought Shadow was cooler than Sonic. Better dub voice in english and japanese than his blue counterpart. I just hope that this game will be good.

I don\'t see what you people are complaining about. Shadow was truly kick-ass since the first moment I laid eyes on him. Now you guys are freaking out just because Sega gave him a gun?!?!? For those who played Sonic Heroes, you remember that Dr. Eggman had locked Shadow up until Rouge came and caused havoc. His memory was wiped, so maybe he forgot all of his awesome attacks except for the basic ones? So, Shadow\'s thinkin\' that he should use the gun because he got help last time. Just a theory. I am going to enjoy this game as long as it isn\'t rated M.

An extremely powerful hedgehog with a gun? Interesting. I do think that it\'s about time Shadow got a part. I mean he has literally been a shadow to Sonic in every game he\'s been in. It\'s his turn. (A gun you say? Hmmm.........)
Sonic went kiddie (according to me) last year. Sonic Heroes was a big dissapointment, and after I saw a preview for Sonic DS... *shivers*
And, like you said, SEGA just wants to be more \"mature\". I think that\'s too obvious. I\'ll laugh when they find out the game is gonna be rated \"E\". :rolleyes:
It really strays far from the original. I honstley don\'t like to play Sonic for a shooting, fishing, or squad commander-ish game. Sonic really appeals to most for the speed factor.... and these new games stray so far from it their just not fun. Sonic Adventure included the whole fishing along with the over world and I didn\'t like it at all. Sonic Heroes.... dear god no. SA2B at least kind of kept up the speed motif even if it did have the rails and such so it was still good.
Also the later Sonic games seem to be moving toward a kiddish direction. Sonic the Hedgehog just seems like where your playing it you\'ll just stop and say \"... damn... how old am I?\"
