I can honestly say that in my entire years of using a computer, I have never used the \"Caps lock\" key.
Have any of you accually used this function?

Yeah I\'ve used my computer for YEARS and I can say that even when I\'m typing really long things in caps I just hold shift I don\'t think I\'ve ever used the caps before.

Meh, never on purpose. Sometimes my finger will slip and hit that key, and I get mad because everything is capitalized. I\'m a one hand typer anyway...

Aha! A use for it! I figured some people were just too lazy to use the \"shift\" key, but hey, I didn\'t know that.

The only time I ever use it is when my finger slips when I try to hit shift and hits the button. And that happens to me a lot. It\'s really annoying... But I can\'t remember a single time when I used it on purpose.

Nah, not really... um... Yeah, it used to happen to me by accident as well.

I used it sometimes before I learned proper typing hand position.

CAPS LOCK IS TEH UBER KEWL

Ahem. What I mean is I occasionally use CAPS LOCK when I\'m typing a lot in capitals, but not very often.

I ALWAYS TYPE WITH CAPS LOCK MAN! WHEN I WANT TO USE LOWERCASE LETTERS I HOLD THE SHIFT KEY. I\'M A WACKY CHARACTER LIKE THAT.

You\'re the exact oposit,I think that the caps lock button is anoying,sometimes I bump it without knowing and have to start all over on what I wrote.The reason for that is I never look at the screen when I type.

Well, taking proper hand positon into account, the Caps key makes creating things like headers on pages alot easier. You can\'t dedicate an entire finger to the shift key now can you?

Ex.

IN ORDER TO TYPE THIS, MY FINGERS NEVER HAD TO OCCUPY THE SHIFT BUTTON, AND TYPING THIS STRING REQUIRED LESS THAN 15 SECONDS TO FINISH.

TO TYPE THIS STRING I HAD TO MOVE MY ENTIRE RIGHT HAND AROUND, USING ONLY MY FULL LEFT HAND AND MY RIGHT POINTER TO TYPE QUICKLY. CAPS WOULD HAVE MADE IT FASTER.

Stuff like that.
Caps can be handy dandy...sometimes.:lol:

I don\'t use it that often. Sometimes my hand slips and I\'ll end up typing a few words or letters with it on. Kinda annoying really. I don\'t even use it when I TYPE LIKE THIS. I just hold shift.

Yeah, it\'s wierd. A lot of the time I just forget that button exists. BUT I CAN STILL TYPE PRETTY FAST WITH JUST THE SHIFT KEY. I just make many more errors.

Yep, I use capslock when writing full sentences in all caps for reasons, or when doing stuff in Photoshop and the font I\'m using can only be used in all caps.

Hahaha. I\'m perfect. I needn\'t use any keys, because I can use my amazing kinetic powers to make the letters appear on screen....

I don\'t really use it. My finger rarely touches it either. It\'s not like I\'m a fast typer though... Or neccessarily a good one.

Rarely use it. Last time I used it was because I was too tired to hold the shift key to yell at some n00b XD

I use caps lock once in awhile, if I have a random reason to type a large amount that way, usually when I\'m just screwing around. Most of the time, though, if I want to emphasize something, I just use italics. It\'s my belief that a lot of people abuse the caps lock.

loooooooong ago i use to use Caps Lock for capitalising every first letter of a sentence.. then i learnt how to use the shift key

otherwise i only accidentally press caps lock when playing games (ie straifing left) or when i want to hit the Tab button but press caps instead.. or when i\'m in a pissed off mode or want to spam

I use it in my emails a lot.

Once I tiped a school report and once I was done, I found out all the letters that were suppose to be capitalized were small and all the letters that were suppose to be small were capitalized. Its because I use CAPS LOCK instead of shift. So I had to retipe that nice one page paper. ^^\'
