I\'m about to get it tommorrow and i want to discuss it with other fans of the previous and new doom games. Like wut u think of it and how good it rates to the old ones.

Doom (original) is one of my favorite FPS ever. Doom 3, however, was a disappointment to me. Was short and didn\'t scare me. Was still a fun little romp though.

I think Doom 3 was \"scary\"(read: intense) at times. It was dark and demons would pop up out of places where the was nothing. It\'s basicly \"The Ultimate Doom\", but with cut scenes and a story more than just: run, shoot, survive. A decent shooter, but the sustem requirements are just a bit too high:cry:. If you were a fan of the originals, this is sorta a let down. Except the new cosmetics, not much new here.

This game was the type of relief my demented self needed. With dozens of different enemies like Zombies and Demons, Great futuristic weapons, and one of the highest maintenance games for the PC. I highly advise it to any gamer of true merit.

It has come to my attention that you want to know my opinion of Doom 3. Well, I can honestly say this.

If you sir are/were a fan of the original games, you will NOT like Doom 3. Doom 3 is a terrible letdown in comparison.

The original Doom\'s fear came from multiple monsters in small corridors, occassional dark spaces, lack of ammo, etc. Doom 3 is terribly EASY. You never will run out of ammo unless you have awful aim. Doom3 is ALWAYS dark, so therefore the dark stops scaring you after a while. Doom3 doesn\'t have the neat surroundings as the originals did..everything is metal, and gray. There is no music in Doom3. You cannot have more than 6 monsters on screen at a time in Doom3, making the battles much less intense. Monsters are less varied in Doom3..all you really see are Imps all the time. And when you get something cool like Knights after you, there\'s only one or two and they die quickly. The original Doom also had some better monster designs..the added Trites, Maggots, Wraiths, and dumb little babies with wings don\'t add much to the game. The monster attacks in general are poor and don\'t take much health away.

Please note though, I don\'t play Doom3, I just watch my brother play it. I have played the old Doom games though and prefer them very much over anything Doom3 has.

I got Doom 3 and have finished it, i dont have the Doom ressurection of evil add on still.
