this series has been going downhill ever since x6 and on so i ask capcom cant you make a deseant megaman game so you make a good resident evil game i want agame megaman1 a 2 thats all i ask thank you a good night

I hate to tell you this, but no matter how much they change the graphics, gameplay on Megaman X games stays about the same. So, despite how the graphics may vary, the games are still pretty similar.

I couldn\'t really understand that Megaman 1 and 2 part at all though.:conf:

I\'d say plotwise it has changed. For the worse.

i know like when i got my first snes i was 5 and my first to games were mega man x and zelda link to the past i played the hell out of them so it just gos to proove its a good game for all ages

X3 was the last awesome X game.

Half of the series are good. Not just the first half, but 4 out of the 8 games throughout the series are good. \'Nuff said.

The only X games I\'ve ever played are X4 and X7, so I\'m not particularly a rabid fan of the series...

where have you been for the past 4 years i have to agree that x8 was the last good x game im am not a genius in the x series but i will try harder next time to get the faqs straight before posting sorry

In fact, I thought it was pretty crappy to perfectly honest.

I personally thought all the games were great except for X8 that had a horrible story line to me that is because they got rid of Sigma which I thought was stupid and thate game was way to short for me I beat it in about 2 hours

in my opinion,mmx4 is the best i play so far and it was my first megaman ever play.
x1,2,3 , i never play befor but i did play 1 and 3 for like 10 mins.

I really only like the first one. The second was okay, the third wasn\'t bad, but then they put Sigma in the games...such an unnessisary character....

I tell you! X5 was teh shizznit!

X5 was my favorite music wise, Although Command Mission was my favorite over all:D

I\'ve only played three X games, X7, X8 and Command Mission.

The 3D element of X7 was just naff and the voice acting was terrible. I had nightmares after listening to Alia\'s voice...

X8 was 3D rendered but still classicly a side scroller. Much better voice acting.

Command Mission was good because it deviated from the \"Take out 8 Mavericks then beat the final boss twice\" a little bit. It was done well in 3D and the chance to explore and level up was something completely different from all the previous X games.

Well, since I haven\'t plauyed anything before X7, it\'s all I have to go by:D

X1: Perfect
X2: Okay not the best though
X3: rocked
X4: weirdly addicting
X5: God this was annoying (only upside switchable character)
X6: I darn this game to heck
X7: NO just NO
X8: a pick-up off a trail of downhill
CM: Pretty good spin-off.

The only X series game I haven\'t played yet is X4 but I have to say that despite their flaws, X5 and X6 came out as really interesting with everything up to X6 showing the world what the X series can do if in the right hands.

Then whoever wrote the X7 and X8 scripts comes along and created disasters whilst chugging paint thinner. X7 was mediocre with a helping of character assassination for X and general unmemorability and X8, despite having better gameplay (just), the script and plot were a joke IE: Sigma\'s telephone call, more character assassination, this time for Zero and Vile. Add in a truly awful cypher in the shape of Lumine just drags it all down.

Haven\'t completed CM but the only new character who gets my eye is Massimo, I like to see him in another X series game but I don\'t think that\'s going to happen, neither would the ultimate comeback of Dr. Wily or whether or not X and Alia get together because people don\'t care. This annoys me a lot.

Axl is rubbish, we all know this. Why is he still here? Carnivac should really slap him silly for his pseudo-badass attitude that convinces no one but his (Axl\'s) blinkered fans.
