Which arm is MMX\'s X-Buster on? I\'ve seen pictures for both, in game manuals, mangas, fanart, the MM cartoon, etc.; in fact, I\'ve even seen someone write that he can form it on either arm (but I\'m pretty sure not both simultaneously).

So which is it?

I\'ve always seen on the right arm.

I\'ve seen it on either arm. No, I don\'t think he can form both at the same time.

the buster is on both.... see look if you look at the picture at the top left of the message board you will half-clearly see its on his right arm.... now go to the original megaman section and you will see that it is on his left arm.......

Actually, correct me if I\'m wrong, but the story goes that MegaMan could form it on either arm. That means simultaneusly, too. The reason he doesn\'t, is because Dr. Light warned him against it. Something about it being too powerful and no good can come of it. It will cause too much destruction to everything around him (including him).

I think the same goes for X.

If you play the games, doesn\'t he switch arms, depending on which direction he\'s going?

I thought that was just for convenience, since the programmers wouldn\'t have to use a different set of sprites depending on which way MM/MMX faced.

But where did you hear that they could form it on either hand, and that Dr. Light cautioned them about (not) using both at the same time?

I remember reading the script for Rockman Super Adventure (some MEgaman game that was only seen in Japan). Wily mentioned that it was not safe for MEgaman to use both busters at once.

Not to mention in X2 Light gives X a piece of armor that allows him to charge both busters at once.

Yeah, I was gonna say...get the buster upgrade in X2 for your proof.

Charge up to pink (oooo pink) and shoot the sucker off. Notice that when you\'re hanging on ladders, he falls off since he could be firing with either arm.. And well, you can shoot two shots into each other to cause a crossover effect, in X3..I think... So yeah, he can make the buster appear on either arm.

Even though Sensei may prefer one arm to the other in the artwork..

I\'m pretty sure in the old games it was just one particular... cause gamers don\'t like to have to make 2 sets of sprites for turning left or right. I\'ve seen it before, but I have no proof in this case.

I agree with the last 3 posts that it is on both. Although when he runs to the right it usually is seen on his left. Especially in BN Transmission where Mega only uses his left hand no matter which way he is facing..

Doctor Light could have warned X... just program it into X, or just put a note on the inside of the capsule...

Its the right because he always puts his left arm over the right and the picture in top left corner.

In the game \"Super Metroid\", for the SNES, I beleive Samus has two sets of sprites depending on which way she is facing, so that her buster is always on the left hand.

In my opinion, Capcom is going to say that both MegaMan and X can form their busters on either arm... That way Capcom can claim they weren\'t just lazy when they didn\'t give MegaMan sprites for facing the other way.

Also, in MM7, MegaMan usually fires with his left-arm, correct? But when you get the Proto Sheild, MegaMan holds it with his left hand, and he fires with his right!

Oh, and just because X could get buster parts in X2 (and X3) to do a double-buster attack, doesn\'t necessarily mean he couldn\'t do it before. X can probably charge both busters at once if he wanted too. Capcom probably just figured it was too much hastle to program that into the game, and would probably make things less challenging.

Yeah, both can turn into a gun, although in X7 MegaMan can olny fire with one arm, like in the Legends games.

Well, in the Japanese Megaman X3 intro. the bees are coming towards X and his buster is put out with his right arm. Then the view swirches and he uses his left arm to shoot with. SO Megaman X can switch his Buster to any arm at any time. Which is pretty cool. Why can\'t he use two at the same time. Imagine the tpye of power he would have in X7 with his charged shot. Anyway, that is why I chose other on the poll.

"The Spirits of War are Within Me"

Built to resemble the Native Americans of centuries ago, Tomahawk Man follows up his basic programming to be knowledgeable and wise about their beliefs as well. His original function was akin to a ranger of the plains but the destruction of the land made him bitter about the lack of respect given by outsiders. His weapon of choice is his silver tomahawk, an axe head grafted onto the end of his right arm. He can use it to fire axe blades of energy at his opponents, and can also pull shrapnel feathers from his headdress to throw like daggers. Tomahawk Man's priorities sometimes get mixed up -- he'll fire a warning shot at someone chopping down a tree before an attacking enemy. His dislike of those that would destroy nature can extend to his fellow Master brothers, but he tries to make his dislike known vocally instead of by action.

Correct me if im wrong, but in one of the games did he not use both of his hands to fire? I mean like a charge shot.. or in MMX3

Spoiler (click to toggle)
Like after he got Zero\'s saber and he got the three charge shot or something? Perhaps it was something like that but i know i\'ve seen it.

Wow... i had a lot of errors in that one... sorry...
