Yes, its going to wrap up the Classic games, then Capcom might work on a new series, but they are referring to MegaMan & Bass, which has the reputation of MegaMan 9.

I\'ve historically heard Megaman & Bass referred to as \"Megaman 9\", a case which is supported here (http://www.mmhp.net/Previews.html). However, there\'s no saying whether or not Capcom is really developing an official Mega Man 9. Years ago, when I was about 8 years old, I made up an outline for an entire MM game, with all-new robot masters, as well as a new antagonist robot scientist and bosses for Wily\'s and Sopwith\'s castles, so it\'s not too hard for Capcom to come up with yet another MM game, which has basically followed the same structure all along (8 robot masters, then final dungeons).

No. I\'ve heard from fans, official sites, and reviews that RockMan & Forte is NOT, in fact, MegaMan-9.

And, by the way. Why does MegaMan have to end at 9? X doesn\'t necessarily have to mean 10. It could just be \"MegaMan-X, the first game.\". The X simply labelling the series, and not the game number. It simply does not have a 1 because it\'s the first game in it\'s series. Much like the first MegaMan game.

Anyways, like I said, MegaMan-9 doesn\'t have to be the end. They can continue on to MegaMan-10... They could say that MegaMan-X happens in an alternate universe, and continue the original plot well into the normal X timeline.

Well, MegaMan 9 is a ROM hack of Rockman & Forte, when it wasn\'t released in the US, hackers hacked the title as \"MegaMan 9\" and distributed through out the \'Net. Now, we should get a game starring Duo, no, Power Fighters, Battle & Chase, and that Battle & Fighters don\'t count, I hate SNES-ized Duos, Capcom should have used the MegaMan 8 sprites.

Well, it is always good to keep your hopes up. I believe that they will make a Megaman IX because well, some other stuff shows. I mean they are starting to get desperate for Megaman X maverick names and it is almost starting to appear in the Megaman Series. I don\'t really know how to support my opinion, only by saying it is what I believe in.

"The Spirits of War are Within Me"

Built to resemble the Native Americans of centuries ago, Tomahawk Man follows up his basic programming to be knowledgeable and wise about their beliefs as well. His original function was akin to a ranger of the plains but the destruction of the land made him bitter about the lack of respect given by outsiders. His weapon of choice is his silver tomahawk, an axe head grafted onto the end of his right arm. He can use it to fire axe blades of energy at his opponents, and can also pull shrapnel feathers from his headdress to throw like daggers. Tomahawk Man's priorities sometimes get mixed up -- he'll fire a warning shot at someone chopping down a tree before an attacking enemy. His dislike of those that would destroy nature can extend to his fellow Master brothers, but he tries to make his dislike known vocally instead of by action.

Sorry, X has been confirmed to be part of the main timeline. As well as Zero, and, ugh, Legends.

I like Legends. I don\'t like it being part of the main storyline.

Megaman and Bass, otherwise known as Rockman and Forte, is not Megaman 9.

I wish people would stop calling it that.

As for the real Megaman 9, Capcom will only create it if they think it will bring in the money. Battle Network is their Megaman cash cow right now, so I\'m sure they\'ll focus all work on that..

\"CAN YA SMELL WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKIN!?\"

... Ugh... not exactly the best thing to imagine in a MegaMan game.

If they do release it, they should definately hold another Robot Master creation contest like they did for MM6. That would rock, cause I have so many I could submit, and I\'m certain many other people have some great ideas now.

:conf: I can see Capcom tying in the X series from the whole Battles & Fighters explanation; and of course, Zero series would pretty much follow suit. How does Legends connect, though? The closest thing I can come up with is that there was a second cataclysm somehow, flooding the planet... Then again, I only own the SNES MMX game and the first Legends game, for the N64, so I\'m kinda in the dark on the current story for them.

And before anyone asks or tells me, yes, I know that Legends came out originally on the PS1 (PSX). I own the exact same game, only for N64.

Anyways... Back on topic!
the creation of a MM9 would probably be a pretty good idea, actually; if the robot masters of the original series all get transferred to the Battle Network Series, it means more games and consequentially more money for Capcom. Unless people lose intrest, that is. But yeah, the world needs more games like the original series.

That\'s right; Legends was an alternate dimension series (by most theories) that does not fit into any timelines so far devised.

MM64 was about the same thing as MML for the PSX. Though there were a few differences, I hear...

And yes, I know that\'s all kinda off-topic.
