I\'ve historically heard Megaman & Bass referred to as \"Megaman 9\", a case which is supported here (http://www.mmhp.net/Previews.html). However, there\'s no saying whether or not Capcom is really developing an official Mega Man 9. Years ago, when I was about 8 years old, I made up an outline for an entire MM game, with all-new robot masters, as well as a new antagonist robot scientist and bosses for Wily\'s and Sopwith\'s castles, so it\'s not too hard for Capcom to come up with yet another MM game, which has basically followed the same structure all along (8 robot masters, then final dungeons).

No. I\'ve heard from fans, official sites, and reviews that RockMan & Forte is NOT, in fact, MegaMan-9.
And, by the way. Why does MegaMan have to end at 9? X doesn\'t necessarily have to mean 10. It could just be \"MegaMan-X, the first game.\". The X simply labelling the series, and not the game number. It simply does not have a 1 because it\'s the first game in it\'s series. Much like the first MegaMan game.
Anyways, like I said, MegaMan-9 doesn\'t have to be the end. They can continue on to MegaMan-10... They could say that MegaMan-X happens in an alternate universe, and continue the original plot well into the normal X timeline. [/quote]
Sorry, X has been confirmed to be part of the main timeline. As well as Zero, and, ugh, Legends.
I like Legends. I don\'t like it being part of the main storyline.
