This topic is about members, with a twist. Some members here who have been around for like 150 million years, (HollowTorment and GutterMouth are good guinea pigs for this topic) and members who\'ve been around for a month or to (me) or newbies (striker.exe is my only example) don\'t get respect, while older members get RESPECT more then us....yes, saddening, no? I don\'t get respect, those two guinea pigs. (Hollow and GutterMouth are getting respect) What gives!?

Also, if you want respect, help people. Answer questions from help sections. That way, people will thank you and start to respect you. the more you do it, the more you\'re known, the more people will call on you more for help, the more people trust you. It\'s that easy.

In your case, age has nothing to do with it. Pocket was a n00b, but got respect fast.

Anways, Hollow and Gutter ear respect. You should try it.

You don\'t earn respect by treating people like dirt then whining that they hate you. Stick around, help people learn the ropes, CLEAN UP YOUR GRAMMAR AND LANGUAGE, and just be a nice person.

Kiryu, Hollow and Guttermouth have earned the respect of the board; you still have not. While I don\'t think it\'s intentional, there are numerous of your posts in which you don\'t really respect some of the board and it\'s members. You have to give respect, to earn respect.

You\'re still a newbie, and you probably won\'t understand why until you\'re no longer one. Being a newb has nothing to do with how long you\'re at a board, it\'s a state of mind.

Gutter used to be a n00b too. Posted spam, couldn\'t use the shift key..

But yeah, Gutter and Hollow have earned respect. They don\'t spam (unless it\'s telling morons not to spam, which is spam in itself, but they\'re just trying to help), they don\'t call people names, they don\'t post random sentences that have nothing to do with the topic at hand... Example: The topic is about Gameboy Advance games. You\'ll say \"I like Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga. I also like toast with jelly and MOTHRA! And GutterMouth is a liar, don\'t pay attention to him, he should be banned!\"

Those last two sentences are POINTLESS BANTER that shouldn\'t be posted. Can you ever get that through your head?

I don\'t go into every topic posting how much I don\'t like PS2 controllers. You shouldn\'t be so off topic. And there\'s another thing...you think it\'s okay to continue to be off topic, as long as you say one on topic thing. Example: Off topic: Hollow, you\'re an ass-hole! I am right, you\'re wrong! Blah blah blah something Godzilla related! On topic: I like playing Mario Kart.

No. This shouldn\'t be done. You can be abit off topic, sure. But posting an entire message that\'s off topic, and adding something small hardly relating to the topic just so it\'s \"on topic\" is a no-no.

Anyways, if you listen to the members who do get respect (for a good reason) then you\'ll shape up to be a good member of this community. Honestly, if you don\'t feel like obeying the rules, do yourself a favor and just don\'t post.

More nails in your coffin, Kiryu.. You also complain about people misspelling your name... I\'m sure you type with PERFECT accuracy, ESPECIALLY at high speeds.. Which is, of course, a feat is horrendously easy to achieve (if my sarcasm hasn\'t suffocated you, yet, then, God help you). Grow up, and maybe, MAYBE, people will like you.

Hey, Maybe its me, maybe its others, Ive actually lost respect of others when they dissed you, BUT turns out they were in the right! Man Ive been here A LOT longer than you newb and check my post count,I post where needed or I feel there should be imput, I believe Ive only made 2 topics here, how many have you made and spammed the crap out of?If you need help correcting this problem the 3 best people I suggest help you (besides Doc) are Breakman, Necro and Windrider~, They would be my most respected, although not in that order ^_-

Another thing about respect, don\'t think major posters always get it. I\'m one of the top fifteen posters on the board and I often feel ignored (if this is true or I\'m just paranoid, I don\'t know). Here\'s a little math lesson: Lots of posts doesn\'t equal respect.

Then the grammer... I never really had a big problem with this. Every once in a while I make mistakes (who doesn\'t?), but when I see them I go back and correct them. If you\'re not sure about a word spelling or something, do what I do: pull up Microsoft Word and do a spell check (yeah, I really do that).

Finally, cursing and descrimination. I\'ve never been a supporter of cursing on- or offline. I don\'t mind it on the boards normally (I hear worse in my high school hallways) but excessive cursing just makes you look stupid. Sorry for being so blunt, but that\'s how I feel. As for discrimination, it\'ll make you lose respect quicker than you can say the word \"a\". If you do discriminate offline, that\'s your business. Just don\'t show it here.

2: People ignoring my topics. Its quite obvious, that people don\'t reply to much of my topics. I even pleaded for some-one to reply.

3: Butting in. Butting in is rude. They don\'t know not to butt in, SW often barges in, making things turn ugly, and uglier.

4: People calling me sexist. Pika Master knows I am NOT a sexist! Ask her! And calling people sexists is also \"flaming\".

5: Flaming. Quite obvious.
