I just recently, as in a few hours ago, received my new Gaming Desktop, and was wondering what Steam games would be the best choices to get? I already have Portal, Left 4 Dead 1 and Left 4 Dead 2, and I was hoping you guys could help me decide on some good fun online games to play~!
Doesn't matter with compy requirements, my new system can play all the released titles, and probably a good chunk of them to be released later on.

My first reaction: ...wow. That thing is definitely much farther from a standard controller than I expected. I\'m still a bit shocked about the concept... The touch screen of the Nintendo DS works extremely well, so I can easily imagine a controller which can \"feel\" his position in the air, along with a tilt sensor, being very fun to play with.

Today Capcom announced plans to reboot Devil May Cry and completely miss the entire point of the series, Kotaku reported today. "For the longest time, we have felt that we've totally needed to miss the mark when it comes to Devil May Cry," Capcom said in a press release. "Devil May Cry has meant insane combos and frantic gameplay with an emphasis on craziness, and quite frankly, we are very excited for this upcoming opportunity to completely ignore that."

Valve announced a few things last night:

1: L4D1 will get DLC- following the story on how Bill died. HUGE deal.

BUT

2: They also announced L4D2 DLC. It is the same DLC mentioned above. On TOP of that, they are porting the old characters to the sequel, as well as the first campaign in L4D1. They are quite literally making L4D1 THE L4D2 DLC.

I'm a bit behind the loop when it comes to all things PS3, and I'd like to have something explained to me.

By reading several topics related to game releases on the PS3, one theme appears quite often: trophies. What are they, really? Same thing as the Xbox /Steam Achivements? Something else?

Second thing: why do you care so much about these? I've seen plenty of game articles or reviews with passages reading like "this game only has 20 trophies, lame!" or " ...

This was added in the newest patch. The head of the TF2 team is being really vague about it- stating "who and who doesn't hear these in-game right now is important- no one has guessed correctly so far." News should be coming up soon in another (Christmas?) update within the next couple of weeks.

It turns out that Super Mario Galaxy 2 is being released in May, much earlier than I expected! I'm really excited about that game; the first one was a total blast, and the sequel might even manage to top it.

Sounds like I'll have to complete my run of New Super Mario Bros. Wii before we get there. :)
