NewLinked Settings? Computer doesn't know when to quit, I guess... Started by RisingDragon on 6 January 2011 at 21:03
Several years ago I had a peculiar problem with my computer in that when I changed the settings for one folder, such as how it views images or how its files are arranged, the same settings would get applied to a completely different folder on a completely different part of my computer. So, if I selected one folder containing images and set them to view them as a preview slideshow (I was on XP at the time), I could go off to, say, the directory for a game like Morrowind and find that suddenl ...
Warner Bros. May Work 3D Magic on 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows'
Harry Potter, our favorite angst-ridden teenage wizard, will soon becoming to a 3D theater near you.
No official announcement has been made; however, Heat Vision reports that the 'Harry Potter' distributor Warner Bros. is hoping to reap the gargantuan -- and still increasing -- worldwide success of 'Avatar' by converting the upcoming 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I& ...
It looks like Yahoo! has decided that it was time to shut down GeoCities. Those who have been using the Internet for about a decade might understand why I don't hesitate in saying that this is the end of an era.
Of course, GeoCities is completely irrelevant now, but this is a former giant about to being buried.
NewNorton OMGcomputerhelp11 Started by God on 1 March 2010 at 8:27
Recently while looking for registry information I came across four different message boards in which individual posters believe Norton is a GIANT piece of crap (i.e. it causes errors itself and hurts computers, not that it merely does not catch viruses or malfunctions with the result of not protecting). Obviously any commercial virus scanner is a piece of crap, but these posters believe that Norton will actually mess up your system. However, the one post I checked the date on was from 2005 ...

It resembled the PS1 controllers only it was for PC HOWEVER this controller was special in the way that it had built in fans in the handles! It was the coolest USB device I'd ever used. Does anyone know of any controllers like that? Please link me!
NewThe ACTA/ Yes, it's real, it's not a law, it's a treaty. Started by Sage on 5 September 2010 at 5:35

I'm going to ask you guys to read this before posting anything, and after reading and understanding it to discuss it, because anything I say can be found on this website.
Yes, it is real, yes it is in discussion, the reuters link in the website is accurate. It's been known for awhile, but kept in secret since 2002 before actually coming into light about what it actually was due to a government official blowing the whistle on it.
NewFalse Claims on Youtube totally putting the LP comminuty in a state of shock Started by Sakura on 20 July 2010 at 0:57
While many of you may or may not know, there are a group of people dedicated to making video walkthroughs of games to help people, called Let's Plays (or LPs for short).
Well, recently in the LP community, smaller LPers were being suspended from youtube. Not a lot of people took any notice to these trolls who were lurking in the shadows, until LPers The ArchFiend and He11sing were suspended. Still, not many people cared. It wasn't until recently that LPer subscribers took not ...
Okay, put all the hurricane disaster stuff to the side, and whatever other crisis\' we\'re having around the world. I\'m not talking about any of that. o.o
What I\'d like to ask is..
Is it just me, or is the general attitude of persons 16 and under..really ridiculous? Maybe I just haven\'t seen any young kid do anything helpful, but they just seem so egotistical. Arrogant. Spiteful. Emotionally unstable.
Yeah okay, I know that puberty brings on stuff like that..but I\'m talking abou ...

Mine is boxed and still has the price tag for $9.99 on it.

NewChat and IM quotes (123 ) I couldn't find the other topic. Started by God on 27 May 2007 at 8:23
Remember, people, these are supposed to be funny... or just really freakin' odd, and they are NOT supposed to be 30 messages long... nobody wants to sift through all that. (Quotes not stories)

Anyone know of any good western movies I could watch? So far I've seen The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, Young Guns and Young Guns II, but that's all I know of, if anyone here likes that sort of thing please let me know.
Does anyone here use Virtual PC? Hahaha, it's so fun to use! I'm running and using Windows XP Prof x64 to post! I really want to use Windows 95 or 98 to surf the web, but Doc might strongly advise against that.
Oh, one more question: will it be pointless if I ran one of those Windows server OS's on Virtual PC? I mean, I'm just using a typical retail laptop, so...
So apparently, those who use Windows Live Messenger, formerly MSN Messenger, will find that any link involving Imageshack will not send on an instant message. Any message containing a link to the site will fail to send.
Does anyone know the reason as to why its doing this? It does not seem to be a random glitch, as the restriction is global.
I wasn't sure if this belonged in Other Games or here (or maybe even Fan Work), but if I created this topic in the wrong section, feel free to move it.
Anyway, on to the point. I've been using something called "LSDJ" to write chiptunes lately, and I've often complained that I simply do not have enough light with my old original Game Boy (my old SP and GBA both have cracks in the screens, so this was the next best thing). Anyway, a friend and I thought it'd be ...
