So I've been boning up on my X series trivia in the past couple weeks, and I seem to have hit a conundrum that I think could either spark interesting theories and speculation, or will simply be answered in one post and then this topic dies.
Anyway, what I came across was the origin of Sigma Virus and how "Mavericks" came to be. From what I've been reading, it seems as though Zero caught a virus that lay dormant in the capsule he had been sealed in until his release. Wh ...
With the X double pack, is Capcom throwing out their failures again, to kill megaman's fanbase, or is Capcom testing the waters for future remakes?
Discuss.
I've been such a patient little fanboy, and here it is! Finally! My chance to play my all-time favorite X-series character, EVER! *Squee!!!*
*Hugs his PSP*
Ah, man. Vile rocks so hard... And you nay-sayers said he'd never get his chance! HAHAHAHAHAHAAAH! I LAUGH AT YOU!
Anywho, this topic will be for all discussion of everything concerning Vile in Maverick-Hunter: X. Including Levels, stories, weapons, and of course... Vile himself. Xp
So Afew days ago I found the Megaman X rpg on newgrounds. It was in the top 10 games so I decided to check it out and I have to say this games pretty good and its worth some of your time.
If you want to play the story you need to start off with chap 0 then head to chap 1.
Does anyone else feel that X lost his spotlight, after all the series is called Megaman 'X'.
Seriously, the series has a lot of new faces popping out of the ol' Yin Yang. While on the side note, X seems to linger behind Zero, not to mention Axl, who I feel needs to be axed.
Lets see a raise of hands if agreed, X needs his spotlight back.
The idea here, is for each of us to create something for a new X game. It can range from scripting, to character creation, or if anyone is up to it, spriting or drawn artwork.
Here is the thing, all the ideas that each of us come up with, will be merged into our own game.
To start things off, I have a few character ideas, boss wise, playable and mid-bosses. I will also start it out with the intro story.
Playable:
X= The opening level is for X only, no one else is allowed to p ...
After seeing a community come together around the idea of X9, I had a bit of hope for the series. However, I've finally realized that I love the series for completely different reasons than the majority of the fan community. Today's new fans are the type that like Axl and just want more games in the same vein as X7 and X8. I don't want to sound cold for saying it, but I really dislike these fans and what the series has/will become.
I haven't posted on this board in almost a decade, but decided to stop in and see how things are doing.
Is anyone here familiar with the Japanese Rockman X model kits Bandai made? Some of them seem to be very difficult to obtain online.
If anyone has any idea where I could obtain some of the kits other than the common ones, such as the armor sets from the comic book, a link would be appreciated.
I have recently obtained a model of Bit/Vajurila FF from Mega Man X3. Isn't ...
Lucas Gilbertson, current voice of Zero, redubs Iris's death from Mega Man X4. Too bad Mark Gatha is a doctor now-this game could've used some more manliness. And, hey, the redub's not so bad either.
I know this would likely not happen soon, but what would you like to see in the PSP remake of Megaman X2?
- Zero as a playable character once you collect his three body parts. Something like Beat.
- Better Weapons, Cracking enemy barriers, etc.
- Timed Missile in Overdrive Ostrich level. If missile isn't destroyed in time, you die.
- Intermissions with an objective like seen in the Bonus levels of Donkey Kong Country 3.
- Easy, normal, and xtreme difficulty levels.
- Secret leve ...

<Possible Spoiler>I Think Zeros having dreams of wiley because hes secretly PROTOMAN! Protoman always had a habit of saving Megaman, coincidently so does Zrero, and they're both colored red and white.
I am looking for the Korean PC version of Mega Man X7, but I cannot seem to find it on any import site. The Mega Man X7 section of the site here says that it is available at Shopping Asia, but I do not know Korean and am not sure if they will even accept a foreign order.
Does anyone know of anywhere else where I can buy a hard copy of the game?
I'm going to get straight to the point here: In 7, Wily uses Bass to break into Light's lab. We know that he is WORKING on Zero after this. We DON'T know the complete details of what data was stolen.
My guess is that Light had begun designing X sometime after 6. Rock had proven to be enough to bring a single mad scientist to justice, but what if a greater threat emerged? Or, perhaps he only wanted to return to designing peaceful robots, thus the free-will was implemented. A ...
I never grew up on this.It was on ABC family before I was into megaman, but I was on youtube and found http://youtube.com/watch?v=cUzX8MXD-lQ
I thought it would be cool to show to fans of the X series that never had a chance to watch it like me.
Since 2007 isn't just MM's 20th Anniversary and also X4's 10TH Anniversary, I made this slideshow about the couple that got me highly interested in this particular installment back when it came out:
NewMore Theories on X The supposed 'New Testament' of the X Series. Started by Arkane on 17 July 2007 at 18:34
"For the longest time, fans thought they had the origins of Zero sussed out, along with the truth behind Mega Man X's connection to the original series. But last year saw the Japanese debut of Mega Man Zero: Official Complete Works, an art book with a "definitive" timeline that basically exists to say that everything you know is wrong.
For years, the Mega Man/MMX connection seemed fairly clear-cut: X was a new model robot based on the original Mega Man, and Zero was c ...
